42 year old Cameron Diaz sat down with Cosmopolitan UK for their Love Your Body issue to talk about how she stays fit and healthy through a combination of diet, exercise, and, yes, sex.
“The fountain of youth [for me], let’s see…I guess it’s exercise, healthy diet, lots of water, lots of laughter, lots of sex — yes, sex, we need that as human beings,” she said at the time. “It’s healthy, it’s natural, it’s what we are here to do!”
“You have to just do it,” she told Cosmo UK of working out. “Once you commit and really put in the effort, your body goes, ‘Oh, it’s not okay to be without this.’ People say, ‘My body rejects exercise.’ No, it doesn’t. Your mind rejects exercise.
“Well-being is an equation,” she explained. “Remember, you don’t have to have the whole cake, you can have a piece. Don’t deprive yourself. Have fun. Just be self-aware. If your equation is 80 percent good, 20 percent bad most of the time, then a little movement toward the center isn’t going to affect you much.”
On social media: “I think social media is a crazy-ass experiment on society. The way people use it to get validation from abunch of strangers is dangerous. What’s the point?”
