Afropolitan Vibes with Niniola, Beautiful Nubia, Jesse Jagz, Seyi Olagunju, and Ade Bantu at Freedom Park
Posted on April 18, 2015 by Nejeeb “Bar Baric” Bello
TGIF last night was old Lagos style at Freedom Park, Lagos Island. They wasn’t anyway possible to miss out a free concert with Jesse Jagz, Beautiful Nubia and Niniola. It was my first time watching Ade Bantu and Segun Olagunju perform live, plus I’d hope to hear Jesse Jagz perform one of his new joints since he got back with his original label, Chocolate City.

The performances were electrifying, and the audience was ecstatic. The highlights of the event was Niniola’s very raunchy butt dance while singing “Ibadi”, MI’s appearance on stage to meet Jesse Jagz, Seyi Olagunju spellbinding drumming, Ade Bantu and his 600 litres of palm wine, and every moment when Beautiful Nubia was on stage.

I met some wonderful friends too, and enjoyed so much of the grilled food that I hardly had any space left in me to breathe. Special lesson learnt: If you wear a Bayern Munich jersey to any place packed with German nationals, random Oyibo dudes will just walk up to you and give you a hug.
