The city of Lagos in Nigeria stood still for Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’Banj as he launched his new album titled The Entertainer . WRT was at the album launch event which drew the who s who of Nigerian society. The guests at the event included the Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), the former governor of Lagos State Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ben Murray Bruce (who gave a remarkable speech, no papers, no screen guides), the list is endless. The event was also used to promote his charitable organization known as Koko Foundation for Youth and Peace Development (KOFYPED); D banj is Nigeria s first United Nations Youth Ambassador for peace. Speaking about the album, D Banj says: I try not to remind my listeners of the high level of unemployment, poverty, disease, electricity outages including the pains and all the troubles in this world All the songs are my personal experiences and journey through life. I hope to touch everyone with this album and I pray the people find it worthwhile. There s no gain-saying the fact that if you were not at the album launch, nor the concert that took place the next day believe me, you missed out BIG TIME. LAMIDE AKINTOBI is a News Anchor, Reporter and Producer with Channels TV. She is also an MC, Media Consultant and aspiring Entrepreneur . LOLA TALABI is the Principal Partner of BRENTT Consulting, a marketing consulting firm. MUIYIWA OSINDERO is a clothier and wardrobe consultant owner of clothsense clothing co. He is also an agressive investor NOBLE IGWE works with a leading Airline, and also does P.R, Branding and Management Consultancy. And TOSYN BUCKNOR is a Writer, Songwriter, and Media and Entertainment Consultant and Personality. With their presence and influence, they are poised to be the TEAM to go to for Media, P.R, and Business! UnRuly DRINKS WITH BOBBY T Bobby Taylor is the leading Public Relations Consultant in Canada, and indeed, the diaspora at large. With clients like Remi Fagbohun, El Dee and DʼBanj, she caters for the Nigerian market, within Nigeria, and of course, internationally. She is a great friend to the UnRulies, as individuals, and also as a collective. In town to oversee the Album Launch of Dbanj, the Kokomaster, she will also be expanding her contacts base, and networking. The UnRulies always recognise and support strong and independent brands and felt it would be appropriate to welcome her back with drinks, and also use that opportunity to introduce her to some of Nigeriaʼs biggest influences in media and entertainment. The event, DRINKS WITH BOBBY T, held at SWE BAR, a favourite hang-out of the UnRulies. What began as simple drinks, turned into the party of the year, with all guests present dancing, singing and laughing the night away. Present were Remi Fagbohun (the Versatile Shopper), Ayo Animashaun, Steve Babaeko of X3M Music, Etcetera, Obi Asika, Ikechukwu, Naeto C, and of course, Bobby T with her entourage! The surprise guest of the night was Dbanj, who not only hung out at the party, but also took pictures with, and signed autographs for adoring fans. It was a night of bad karaoke singing (except of course for when Etcetera grabbed the mic!), great dancing (Ayo Animashaun threw in a split or two), and great fun!
