Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro is Loot Magazine’s fairytale princess, brought to you by the retail store L’Espace. Osas was photographed by Seun Otolorin and styled by Ivie Ogiemwonyi rocking brands like Weizdhurm Franklyn, Bridget Awosika, Toju Foyeh and a host of others.
Popular for her role as
Adanna in Tinsel, Osas was born and raised in Bronx, New York
into a Benin household. When her parents noticed that she was battling with low self esteem they decided put her in a modeling school because they felt modeling would help
improve her confidence, after graduating, she was offered a
scholarship to the school’s acting course and
that was where she was introduced to a craft
that she fell in love with and would forever
love. Osas tells Loot Magazine “Volunteering is something I have done since I was young. One of my mottos is “Giving back is truly where it’s at”.
Her passion for volunteering is fueled by the tragic loss of her only sister due to malaria which led to the creation of the Joyful Joy Foundation (JJF), formed in her sister’s honor to push towards a malaria free Africa; one community at a time.
Her advice to Industry Hopefuls : ”Never stop working on your craft, the stars you see on TV and hear on the radio always work towards being better. Lastly, never stop believing in oneself faith begins within you before anyone else can believe.”
