There was definitely a lotta of political permutations, rice (cooked and raw) sharing, army arrests, name calling, allegations and braggadocio preceding the #Ekiti2014 elections. But a flawless victory is just what it is, a flawless victory. The Ekiti people spoke in unison, with their votes, they elected ex-governor Ayo Fayose who was ousted through an impeachment procedure in his first tenure. What went wrong? Are the Ekiti people so suspicious of opposition party APC to have thrown their beloved governor to the sharks; or was the incumbent governor Kayode Fayemi loved as much as his social media army wold have you believe?

1. Ekitis have a standard, a non-twitter trend that Govs spend 1 term only, you are measured by their expectations and many fall short
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
2. Fayose was rejected by the elites, usurped by OBJ’s impeachment pattern. He is an epic crowd favorite. He eats with Okada riders, his core. — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
3. Fayose never returned to Ibadan his base or Abuja after his ousting, he entrenched his base and became a full local, his roots are deep
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
4. He, Fayose was a talkative and disrespectful to the elders (agbayas) as he calls them, for rightful reasons but they pitched the people.. — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
4b. They pitched the people against him, because the culture embraces full regard for elders over money, status or correctness…
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
4c. Fayose was an Amateur in Politics, so he took a mentor in Gov Mimiko, who taught him the art of foolishness as strategy which he lacked — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
4d. Fayose ran under the LabourParty for Senate then but lost because of the Hurricane APC in the SW then, he was still the more popular guy
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
4e. Fayose a refined politician spent time mending his relationship with Party men & Ekiti elders to firm up his die hard grassroots support — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
5. Democracy is imperfect! Fayemi may be a fine man, but his communications team knew nothing about Neuro linguistic programming, he needs..
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
5b. He Fayemi needs to mirror the poor, bring them to his gates at least, but his expert roundtable was myopic. Fayose got solidarity votes — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014

6b. Tinubu could not have done anything even if he wasn’t so keen on JKF, he was smart enough not to invest because he anticipated defeat.. — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
7. Fayemi did not really perform as you expect, urban development without social welfare in a low economy state is failure. Mimiko said this
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
7b. LASG could get away with what Fayemi did with raising fees & levies for development because economic activities assuage the ppl’s burden — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
8. Opeyemi Bamidele achieved all he wanted from the Race, he was the highest gainer. I will tell you how. Meanwhile he won his constituency
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
8b. Opeyemi will have lost his House of Rep seat in 2015 should Fayemi have won, APC will definitely had grabbed it. Now he is more popular — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
8c. Not only will MOB keep MHR seat, a better offer awaits him fFayose for helping to weaken the incumbent. I think Senate beckons on him..
— Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
8d. MOB has raised his stake in the Ekiti political sphere, he’s more eligible in 2018 shld he make right moves like Fayose was 3rd in 2010 — Life through 7D Lens (@7DLife_NG) June 22, 2014
9. Fayose was vindicated by God, rewarded by his people for his performance in office & his comradery. I will bust the twitter myths now;
