Our woman crush for this Wednesday is non other than the incredibly talented and yes heavily pregnant Carrie Underwood, the singer, songwriter, and actress rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in the year 2005. The soon to be momma has won six Grammy Awards, sixteen Billboard Music Awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards and eight American Music Awards just to mention a few.

At the age of 14 she auditioned for Capitol Records and Capitol Records was in the process of preparing a contract for Underwood but cancelled it when company management changed. Underwood said of the event, “I honestly think it’s a lot better that nothing came out of it now, because I wouldn’t have been ready then. Everything has a way of working out.”

The voice power house is recognized by Rolling Stone as the female vocalist of her generation in any genre. Underwood is the first and only country artist to ever debut at number one on the Hot 100, her song “Inside Your Heaven” topped the chart in 2005. She is also the female country artist with the most No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. She has a total of 14 number one’s and breaking her own Guinness Book record of ten.
